Week One and Two Room 5

Posted on 7 February 2019

In Room 5 this week we have been making art using koru patterns.  We learnt what the koru pattern means and why it is significant to Maori people.  We also have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi, why it is important and the meaning of Waitangi day. In maths we have been learning place value, decimal points, long multiplication and fractions. In week 1 we went to Harold and learnt about choices and with different choices there is a consequence. "Consequences can be good or bad" Nicki, Harold's partner told us. We have had a great term so far and we look forward to sharing our stories with you.
